SPRING BLOOMS WITH THREE MARKETS OPENING IN THE DMV REGION! 

Diverse Markets Management (DMM) is excited to announce the Spring and Summer 2019 schedule for its open-air markets. "For the first time in our 36-year history. we'll be managing markets not only in the District of Columbia and Virginia but also in Maryland, giving us a simultaneous presence in the whole DMV region," DMM President Michael Berman announced today. 

"With the addition of a new seasonal market in Silver Spring, MD, 2019 looks to be one of the busiest years for DMM to date," Berman said. "Along with our long-standing Sunday Flea Market at Eastern Market and previously announced Farmers Market SW on Saturdays, we will now host opportunities for vending on 4 days out of the week, some weeks.  We are looking to attract artists, exhibitors, musicians, live-performance artists, and specialty food and beverage businesses to participate in the fun."

MARKET SW RETURNS ON FRIDAY NIGHTS TO THE SOUTHWEST WATERFRONT!

Returning on May 3rd, and continuing every other Friday until Oct 18, the beloved night market of Southwest DC, MarketSW enters its 4th year expanding its presence as a Friday night staple on the Southwest Waterfront. Located at the corner of 4th and M Streets SW, on the LotSW, the night market is directly across the street from Waterfront Station Metro and near Arena Stage.  
 
With an inviting mix of local and creative businesses, food trucks, live music, a fully-stocked beer garden, colorful lights, and family-friendly activities, each market creates a lively atmosphere of a neighborhood outdoor living room. The market attracts hundreds of weekly shoppers including families, young professionals and home-owning seniors from the surrounding community. The neighborhood is home to a wide selection of recreational, cultural, and park destinations, including the main campus of the Smithsonian Institution along the National Mall, and The Wharf. There is also adjacent and near-by public parking.

As always, we are looking for unique, creative, and inspired entrepreneurs and small businesses with a diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty, furnishings, decor and collectibles, as well as other local and handcrafted products to present.  If your business is looking to gain public exposure and professional experience in outdoor, face-to-face retail, we offer 10 x 10 space sizes, tents not included. CRYSTAL CITY CRAFTS MARKET: WHERE LOCAL ART MEETS LUNCH!

Crystal City Crafts Market | Thursdays

Launching May 2, the Spring edition of the Crystal City Crafts Market, a weekly lunch time arts market in Crystal City, Virginia, returns. Now entering its fifth year, Crystal City Crafts Market operates alongside a much-followed Food Truck Thursdays.Operating each Thursday during lunch hours, 11am to 2pm, through June 27, market visitors will discover unique art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty and other local and handcrafted products. Live music and select food trucks create a welcoming programming mix for those escaping their offices. 

In a shift across the street from its previous location, the Crystal City Crafts Market finds a new home in the shaded plaza of 220 20th Street South.  It is adjacent to the Crystal Shops mall, several popular restaurants and retail establishments. Crystal City Metro is 2 blocks away and there is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and hotels. Vendor parking will be available adjacent to the market area in the private parking lot. 
 
The market is sponsored by the Crystal City BID. Crystal City, Arlington's largest downtown, boasts excellent demographics, a burgeoning residential population among its robust business population, and of course the soon to be home of Amazon's HQ2.  Broad advertising of Crystal City Crafts Market is planned by our co-sponsor, the Crystal City Business Improvement District, both regionally and targeted to the approximately 30,000 office workers, 16,000 residents, and nearly 5,000 hotel rooms.

BEACON MARKET: SHINING A NEW LIGHT ON SILVER SPRING!

Beacon Market | Alternate Saturdays
Opening: May 18th 
Time: 10am - 4pm 
Location: 1200 East-West Highway, Silver Spring, MD

DMM is excited to announce its newest market in Downtown Silver Spring, the Beacon Market!  
Opening Saturday May 18 and running every other Saturday, the market will operate from 10-4pm on the plaza fronting the popular boutique coffee and vinyl record shop Bump N' Grind. 
 
The market will feature a diverse mix of artists, crafters, vintage and collectible sellers, handcraft importers as well as other neighborhood-enhancing vendors such as a fresh fruit and produce farmer, specialty food vendors and local organizations tabling their information.  The market will be enhanced by Bump n' Grind's offerings of fresh roast coffee, locally-made baked goods, sandwiches, treats, and craft beers and wines. Live DJ performances, outdoor seating, and free wifi provide further amenities.
