October 25, 2018: Fall Market Season In Full Swing!

Diverse Markets Management (DMM), the D.C. company known primarily for its management of outdoor markets,
is teaming up with the DMV Food Truck Association to host the DC Food Truck Tasting Festival: Curbside Cookoff 2018! Scheduled for Friday Oct 26, but postponed to Friday Nov 2 due to stormy weather, this epic food truck battle features ten DMV-based food trucks competing for this year's Golden Spatula. An all-day event, the food trucks open their windows from 11:30am - 8:00pm. This FREE event boosts live music, local artisans and vintage vendors, as well as a seasonally-stocked beer garden to complete the atmosphere.
The event closes out a successful run of MarketSW
night markets at the location. On the corner of 4th and M St SW, the site has showcased local artisans, makers, performers, and entrepreneurs all-summer. Every other Friday, local residents, neighbors, and those wandering into Southwest have been greeted with a host of activities, unique local businesses, a beer garden, great food, and music. Since May, the energy always invites a diverse, out-going crowd, turning MarketSW what many call their neighborhood living room. Every Saturday at the site has also been the popular Farmer Market SW which runs until November 17.

Since September 6th, the Crystal City Crafts Market has generated plenty of action on the 1800 Block of Crystal Drive. In partnership with the Crystal City BID, DMM will finish our fourth season of the Crafts Market on October 25th. The weekly lunch market operates on Thursdays, from 11am to 2pm.
In conjunction with the popular Food Truck Thursdays, the Crystal City Crafters Market hosts an eclectic mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty, and locally-sourced products. As an additional draw, live-music and select food purveyors are welcomed to the programming mix.
Find us this Thursday on the wide-shaded sidewalk on the 1800 block of Crystal Drive, adjacent to the Crystal Shops mall, several popular restaurants and retail establishments. Crystal City Metro is 2 blocks away and there is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and hotels.
